Auntie Deb’s is a dream-come-true for
lifetime Arbuckle resident Debbie Charter. Debbie, along with her husband
Jeff, purchased and restored a 1920s cottage-style home, located on the north
end of 5th
street in Arbuckle, for the specialty shop. As her dream was becoming a reality,
the community had a great deal of input for naming the new business and Debbie
had many suggestions to ponder, but appropriately chose the name "Auntie Deb's,"
because Debbie is an auntie to Rebecca, Alicia, Taylor, Caden, Tatum, Will,
Jake, Riley, Luke and Nicholas. She is also known as "Auntie Deb" to many kids
in town. Auntie Deb's treats every customer with the same love she gives her
nieces and nephews.
Every year the Downtown Spring Celebration is
held in conjunction to Auntie Deb’s anniversary as local shops open their doors
and provide special spring items, with food, fun and socializing. Auntie Deb’s
holds a very special luncheon for her customers in the back garden the very same
day. The annual spring celebration is normally held on the first Saturday in
May.
With spirit of Christmas ringing in Auntie Deb’s
heart, she fills her shop up with beautifully decorated Christmas Trees. The
individually themed Christmas Trees are packed with unique ornaments that are
all for sale. Debbie invited local merchants to join her in the Christmas
celebration by hosting the Downtown Arbuckle Holiday Stroll. The public is
invited to come stroll the streets of Downtown Arbuckle and share an extra
sprinkle of merriment and munchies. The Downtown Arbuckle Holiday Stroll will be
held on Thursday, October 23rd, 2008 from 4PM to 10PM.
